[Measuring Interest] LibreFeline - a FreeCat revival project (for those who don't like Catalyst)

I got an idea! Because FreeCat was shut down in favor of Catalyst (which has a wildly different approach to stuff as FreeCat), I started “work”, or more accurately “forking-the-repo-renaming-it-and-using-chatgpt-to-write-a-better-readme” on LibreFeline.

Although we might probably maybe slightly consider a discord in the near future, until the discord gets linked somewhere in the repo (in which case we'll promptly remove the link from this OP), we're able to share the link to the repo!

https://github.com/UniqueName12345/LibreFeline

The reason I add “measuring interest” to the title is half just for the jokes and half because it's like 2% there.

Who cares? You can just install two browsers

What if the browser is undoubtedly the best browser in the world?

LMAO
I don't think that's happening any time soon. Not with my current skill range, at least!

Catalyst only has a monopoly on the desktop market. It's well-competed against in the mobile market via W-Browser and WorldExplorer. Either way, a new Catalyst alternative is very nice, as long as they can trim down the file size while supporting basic privacy.

even IF PPPDUD has usage numbers, I'll still be laughing. Nothing says rejecting privacy like good old censorship! (which PPPDUD threatened to use when someone violated the SUIT license)

that AND the topic got closed for being “partial abandonware”. likely an excuse to cover up the fact that it actually got closed to try to stop complaint about the license

Wait does PPPDUD make worldexplorer or w-browser. There names are very similar.

^^ Either way, parts of mojavesoft.net's statistics are sourced from WorldExplorer users, but I can't tell for sure.

Fun fact 1 of every 1 Catalyst/Freecat fork only has changes to the README and is immediately abandoned

There were a few catalyst forks that had a few more changes.

Platinum had a bunch of small changes not to the readme.
