Add test user to project button

Sorry if I'm not wording this correctly, but I think it would be useful to have a way to test cloud variables with one account. What you would do is click “add test user” in the editor, and it would open up a new window simulating another user using the project so that you could test out to see if the variables are working.

Yes, that would be part of it. When you click the button, it would basically simulate a different user going on the project.

Yeah, and what if you don’t even have an account with Scratcher status? How would we be able to test at all

This is too complicated for the scratch team to build, and you don't need an AI when you can open another browser window.

Why would it be complicated? Theres nothing with AI that would be needed for this.

To add a test user or whatever that scratch can handle (because they don't have enough employees), they would have to use AI

I’m not suggesting any AI for this, what I am saying is an ability to open another window of the project so that you can view it from the other user’s point of view and also so that cloud variables and that cloud multiplayer would be easier to test.

I think it should be called something along the lines of “open player view.”

This could be useful in many cases, and just to test code in general that would require you to use an alternative name.

What I like to do is this:

when green flag clicked
set [username v] to (username) // This is so that I can adjust it whenever I want.
do stuff with (username :: variables)

This would be great for me to test if cloud platformers aren't generic without having to go to turbowarp and change my custom username thing to ANONYMOUSUSER. I think it would be pretty useful and really don't see any possible cons.

This would be convenient on a lot of cloud projects since you don't have to get two different tabs or browsers being used.
It can also be great for other kind of test projects with this block here

This isn't really a workaround, but I think you can use TurboWarp (probably also with that browser extension, as one of its addons lets you open your own projects in TurboWarp, even when unshared), opening multiple instances and changing your username on each one.
