Why are there inappropriate projects on scratch? I mean Scratch is a kids platform, so why do people make inappropriate projects anyway?

Most of them are just uploaded. Usually trolls, ban speed runs, or people who use other not good sites. Just report with the report button or contact us (then scroll down and click the get help button)

because people are evil. report any inappropriate projects you see.

As in what kind of inappropriate? Calling someone a rude word? Sharing a project which has gory content? This used to happen when people used to share FNAF fan games on Scratch, they were inappropriate for little kids (due to horror and gore) and some schools even blocked Scratch on their computers because some little kids even had actual nightmares from the fan games. Anyhow, I have seen someone who had a proper swear word as their profile and they kept commenting racist words on featured projects. He got banned though, obviously because he was *drumroll* Reported! That's right! Any inappropriate content you see on Scratch, you can simply report the creator of it. (only once, though. Don't try and spam report!

Because trolls exist.
Other times, there could be a project that has something inappropriate (like an inappropriate meme for example) and the creator of the project doesn't know that it's inappropriate, because they think it's just a popular meme.
You can report any project that you think it's inappropriate for Scratch, and a moderator will take the appropriate action.

I don't recommend using Contact-us, the report button does the job fine.

Because no one reported them yet.
Report any projects that are inappropriate.

I've seen them before, they are, how should I say this, grown-up content. If you know, you know.

Because Scratch isn't a utopia. While the ST manages the site relatively well, the community is still supposed to handle some of the job of reporting projects.
