my project isn't saving

i know this isn't really a problem with scripts, but it's the closest thing i could find.
anyway, i'm having a problem where my project doesn't save and says “project could not save”. so i've been using the offline editor instead; leaving an older version on the website. but for some reason when i do something small to the version on the website (like moving a script) it still saves for some reason. so i may have accidentally done something weird to the local version on my computer that broke it somehow. (and yes i still do get the error when moving the version on my computer to scratch) it might be because the file size is too big as a small change won't increase the file size by much.

i just realized the problem probably isn't file size because the project is only 38 megabytes and under 1000 blocks

Depends on the size of graphics, sounds etc separately and not just the total. So if the total space for costumes/backgrounds is too much it doesn't matter if the total for the project including everything else is within the overall limit.

here are the stats of the project which might help
20 sprites
767 blocks
16 global variables
54 assets (one is blank)
966 seconds of audio (957 for music, 8.4 for sound effects)

Please do these steps.
1. Download the “sb3” file.
2. Convert it to zip by changing “sb3” to “zip” when renaming the file.
3. Unzip it.
If any of the images/sounds are over 10MB, or the project.json is more than 5MB, the project will not save.
Sb2 files cannot go over 50MB without using the sb3tosb2 converter.
Also, try again because there were issues with this and server issues that could have caused it.

it looks like one of the songs is 15 megabytes! i'm going to delete it and see if it works.
