⭐ Undertale ⭐ | Remaking undertale in scratch | frequent updates

Scratchtale is planning to be the first-ever full undertale game on scratch. This will be a group run by me @scratch-theorem and may have a few co-owners in the future. The game will be built in a way that should be easily accessible and moddable to the community. Scratchtale will not use any of the original sprites in this project, everything will be drawn, written, etc ourselves. This way we don't break any copyright rules and our project can stay up.

We are planning on utilizing griffpatches tile MMO engine to create the levels. It will be a modified version to allow us to input puzzles into the levels.

So a little bit about me, I've been on scratch for a long time now close to 7 years on a few accounts. I started this account as a way to get a fresh start, and only post projects I'm actually proud of. As my first project, I was thinking why not start a collaboration to remake one of the biggest video games of all time? I'm quite experienced in programming knowing javascript and scratch but I still look forward to growing more.

Applications are quite simple all I want is how long you've been using scratch, if you have any previous collaboration experience, and are willing to work as a team to accomplish the goals. Please format it like this:

You can use original Undertale assets, Toby is fine with it and the project will be fair use.
Anyways, what positions are open?

I'm planning on use cloning to make the project possible that way we don't need a ridiculous amount of sprites. Either that or we could go the easy way and just make sections of the game one by one.

Theres a limit of 300 clones per project, and they’re more buggy and laggy, so I’d suggest the latter, ands using save codes between each project.
Edit: Undertale is also a massive game, so it may easily pass the five megabyte json limit to use one project, so using multiple projects and putting them in a studio might be the best choice.

Actually, i believe the DR chapters are all included in the same directory, allowing for a consistent, ‘codeless’ experience. In this case, the data will need to be shared across projects.
Maybe, if the users a logged in Scratcher, than ScratchAttach can be used to share the code across projects as the user goes to future projects.

That seems like a good solution! I have no experience with python is the only problem, my other language is javascript. Though hopefully since I have experience in javascript it will be easier to learn python

ScratchAttach is a Python library, but it is easy to use. The issue, picking an IDE. Replit recently added EGRESS limits, 10 gigs a month for free accounts, and running it locally would be expensive I believe.
