They don't all do just this anymore, but they're still educational.
The official list of rejected suggestions has several suggestions rejected because they are not educational and enhance the social media aspect of Scratch.

As I mentioned earlier, they don't all just serve this purpose anymore. But I don't see how a feelings session would ever serve any purpose
