Scratch isn't social media. Unless you have a reason as to why these boost educational value, no support.

Scratch isn't social media. Unless you have a reason as to why these boost educational value, no support.Yet we have loves, favorites, follows, the forums, studios, all that.
Scratch is half coding, half social media. And not everything needs to serve an educational purpose, take the five things I listed.

Loves are a show of support to your classmates, favorites help you save projects more easily, follows help you see when one of your classmates posts, the forums are for communication with other scratchers, studios are for organising projects.
They don't all do just this anymore, but they're still educational.
The official list of rejected suggestions has several suggestions rejected because they are not educational and enhance the social media aspect of Scratch.

How is it educational to suggest stuff and support your class mates or save projects?some of it might be part of school, but it’s not helping you learn muchIt is part of school, therefore it counts. The forums are used to improve Scratch, therefore making it more educational, and saving projects makes your educational experience easier to navigate.

TIRAP, advanced topics, and TIMAC improves scratch? How is it educational to suggest stuff and support your class mates or save projects?some of it might be part of school, but it’s not helping you learn muchIt is part of school, therefore it counts. And the forums aren’t very educational at all except maybe QAS and HWS, because most suggestions have nothing to do with the stuff for school except a few.not everything In Scratch has to be fully educational, like the emojis.
Part of school is talking to people and talking about your feelings, so wouldn’t that count?

As I mentioned earlier, they don't all just serve this purpose anymore. But I don't see how a feelings session would ever serve any purpose
