Scratching The Surface 4Ever
Hello! And welcome to Scratching The Surface 4Ever!
This is a Minecraft server, the fourth in a series, meant for anyone on Scratch to play a single Minecraft server, together!
If you'd like to join on Java Edition, click “Multiplayer” then “Add Server” and paste this IP into the IP Address box: (The name itself doesn't matter)
STS4Ever.minehut.gg
However, if you're not whitelisted, then you'll have to let an operator know your username and platform (Java or Bedrock, Bedrock is the version simply known as “Minecraft”, with the Marketplace). Just posting on this topic is good.
Note that this isn't complete just yet, so let me repeat some of what imfh has said:If you would like to join, please make a post with your Minecraft username and edition (Java or Bedrock) so an operator can whitelist you.
Server IP (Bedrock): bedrock.minehut.com
Join Instructions:
If the server is not running or you are joining from Bedrock, you will be put into the Minehut lobby after attempting to join. To start and join the server, type /join sts3coded in chat. You may need to run this command several times. Be patient and keep trying every 15-45 seconds.
You need to be whitelisted to join the server. See above the IP for instructions.
All of the mods listed here are also borrowed from STS3's selection of mods, including:Ledger is a logging tool which keeps track of things like broken blocks, items removed from chests, mobs killed, etc. If a griefer joins the server and destroys something, we can use Ledger to figure out who the griefer was and restore the destruction, at least partially.
Carpet is a tool which has many features which can be used to tweak the game. Currently, it is being used for performance monitoring and adding a few custom commands. On Java, you should see a TPS and MSPT monitor in your tab menu screen.
Lithium is a overall performance improvement for Fabric, and Phosphor is a light engine performance improvement.
Geyser and Floodgate are used to allow Bedrock players to join the Java server. Both are run and controlled by Minehut separately from the server.
Inv View is used to when somebody steals items to help see what was stolen and avoid duplications from Ledger rollbacks.
There are few other Fabric mods which are needed to use the above tools. The Fabric API (used by most Fabric mods), FabricProxy-Lite (used by Minehut), and Fabric Language Kotlin (used by Ledger).
We also use a few Datapacks. Currently, we are using AFK Display, Track Statistics, Track Raw Statistics, Silence Mobs, More Mob Heads, Player Head Drops, and Wandering Trades Mini Blocks from Vanilla Tweaks. Adding more is open to discussion!
Keep in mind there are rules of course, so keep in mind:
Don't spread hate of any kind
Don't post or build things that isn't appropriate for Scratch's audience.
No griefing. This includes stealing, killing pets and other mobs they own, blowing up their build, vandalizing their build, and in general messing with it in a way that's difficult to reverse. What might just seem like a funny prank to you devastates someone…Let me tell you, there is a world of a difference between just a prank and griefing.
This one should be obvious, but: No cheating or exploiting. Stuff like Baritone to quickly mine ores or quickly build isn't allowed because it just makes the game boring and it's not fun for anyone.
PVP must be agreed upon; don't use PVP for arguments, that just escalates the situation and makes it worse for everyone.
Do not fight the Ender Dragon before a server-wide event occurs.
Contrary to assumption, I am not completely banning factions from existing in STS4, however, they must not exist at the same level as STS3's factions, I don't want this server to turn into a factions server.
Sounds cool!
But, with that out of the way, have fun!

STSR was named that because it was the successor to STS and we thought “recoded” sounded cool. We only started giving them numbers after we began planning to move to STSR's successor server.Ok. How come there’s STSRecoded instead of STS3?So how many are active? All of them besides Hardcore are still online, but STSV is the latest and most active one.
