According to the Download page, Scratch 1.4 had a Linux version that you could download. However, it seems that the link (http://ubuntu.media.mit.edu/ubuntu/pool/universe/s/scratch/scratch_1.4.0.6~dfsg1-5~ubuntu12.04.1_all.deb) does not work anymore. I put it into the Wayback machine and it downloaded. However, I wasn't able to download it.

Can't you just install it from apt-get? That works last time I've tried it.

sad when Scratch 3.0 didn't came out for Linux and came for Raspberry pi (3.14…) instead

I believe that download link is broken, there should be a correct link somewhere, although i cannot find it.

Using Ocular I found a post in B&G. Cheddargirl posted a link to a download mirror that (I think) worked, but it seems it's lost to history.
