Edge is better than Chrome, but I have no clue why people prefer Google Chrome over a Chromium fork (like Edge) or chromium itself
Because it looks terrible and because the MSN homepage won't load. Also, they put in advertisements about Edge whenever you try to download another browser, plus the fact that most of Windows is hardcoded to use Edge, ignoring any other default browser settings.

edge kinda sucks no offense
chrome is better and doesn't spam you with news when you enter the search page
And then there's Catalyst, which is even better at being efficient.

Also gaslights users into using Edge. I tried downloading Chrome (FOR SCHOOL) on a fresh windows install and it yelled at me like 3 times to not download chrome because it uses chromium just like edge.
they should've known that some users like the features of chrome - like free tracking, data being sent every second, etc.

It's not like it's hard to change the homepage. I personally use daily.dev, which is great by the way.

Maybe some requests are getting blocked? Try checking the console.

Calling it slow is probably a PC issue, since it's just as fast as Chrome

I switched to Edge on my PC, I find it better for productivity than Firefox. On my Mac I still use FF tho.

Edge even sends your browsing history to micosoft by default. Does anyone ever read Privacy Policies anyway?

no, which is why apple legally owns all my possesions. Guess I should have read that policy.

No, but I'm sure as hell gonna be going through the entire settings page first thing when I upgrade to Windows 11 on my computer.

That is probably the biggest misconception about trackers I have heard.

You really think that companies are not going to use the opportunity to sell your data? Or to use it to track your browsing history? Or to target you with specific ads?

The SpiderMonkey JavaScript engine is slow, though, and Firefox has a lot of weird quirks that make it weird for web development purposes.
