Pitch Block

i think this was actually supposed to be:
([pitch v] ::sound)
change [pitch v] by () ::sound

set [pitch v] to () ::sound
not like:
(microphone [note v] ::sensing
or
(note ::sensing)

yes and by noise i thought they meant by sound, which i thought was supposed to be sound blocks as well as the things they listed
like this:
play sound [ v] until done

play sound [ v]

They literally mentioned “detecting the pitch of the current noise” and a “voice recognition project” they were making

It's pretty clear they were talking about tone detection like the note block.

Why bump? Most people aren't supporting it.
BREAKING NEWS: The Scratch Team doesn't care how many supporters a suggestion has!
They only add it if it’s beneficial for scratch, and would be useful.
That was my point.

I think there should be a block that senses the pitch of the current noise. It would work really well in many projects, especially a project I am working on (beta released) called SoundWave, which is a voice recognition system.

Uses

My SoundWave project
A “Match My Pitch” program
AI That “Likes” certain music
A control in many games
Recording System
and many more…

Please consider this!

Support!

You could even put the microphone volume and pitch in a dropdown, like what Snap! does:

microphone [loudness v] :: sensing reporter
microphone [note v] :: sensing reporter
