I want to try LineageOS or another custom ROM. I need help finding a version for the Samsung Galaxy J5 that works fully, doesn't include Google apps and can be installed using Linux.

I can alternatively use one of these phones:

• Samsung Galaxy Young
  
• Sony Xperia E
  
• Sony Xperia E4

How about the j5 with the android 7.1 rom, after install, take a screenshot of your Home Screen and send it here for proof

The concept of Linux (Unix( was made in 1970, so it kinda is.

Older phones tend to lag on newer versions of Android. You won't want to shoot for the latest. At least try to get Android 8 or 9 working (most apps support 7+)

unix is not the concept of linux nor is linux derived from unix

unix is not the concept of linux nor is linux derived from unix

Linux is not derived from Unix but the structure of Linux and some of the ideas behind it (eg each program does 1 thing) are taken from unix

Can anyone find a ROM that fits my requirements?
