Is there any version of scratch that can run on Windows 95/98?
I am genuinely curious as I have a VM with windows 95 and 98 installed, and I just want to know is there any old version of scratch that can run on them
(Something earlier than scratch 1.4 as I have tried and it does not work)

From experience:
- 1.0 through 1.2 work correctly on Windows 98. I have no experience with Windows 95.
- 1.3 and 1.4 can be made to run on Windows 98 by installing Scratch 1.2 and replacing the Scratch.image file with that of Scratch 1.4, but some actions will trigger mostly (not entirely) harmless error messages.

I cannot believe that scratch runs on windows 98, THAT WAS BEFORE THE TURN OF THE MILLENNIUM (the computer is from 1998)

I've found that if you download the Squeak 3 exe from Squeak's website and run the scratch 1.4 image file with that, it works!
Though the file selection menu doesn't work, meaning no saving or loading projects. The random sprite button seems to work fine though, if you copy the media folder to where the image file is.
