They're probably using bricks THE WHOLE OF SCRATCH CODING is made of bricks (a.k.a blocks).

No they aren't. In the video, it's actual legos (however I do notice how the Scratch programming language is partially based off of lego) in the background. So, overall, it does seem like it's Scratch Coding bricks/blocks, it's actual LEGOs not Scratch Blocks in the background.
