I understand that boyfriend being possessed isn't a new concept. But most of the time you're still play as boyfriend. Why not make so you play as the opponent battling boyfriend. I want the 3rd song to feel like the first 3 Kirby 64 bosses (Maybe have boyfriend pull the face Adeleine makes when she gets possessed.)

The plot is barely present in the game, heck - it doesn't even explain the plot in game.
Swearing/inappropriate themes in-game? They're working on a ‘naughtiness toggle’ to fix that issue.
They never marketed the game towards kids. While it is partially the devs' fault for the cartoonish art style, the game was actually made for a game jam in just 2 days (before it was expanded upon) so evilsk8r and PhantomArcade didn't really have the time to make a realistic style. There are plenty of cartoonish games that aren't necessarily for kids.
I believe ninjamuffin has also stated before that the game was never intended to be played by kids.
