Hypothetical situation: Suppose I found a song on Youtube. I want to download it so I can put it in a Scratch project, but since I can't find any MP3s elsewhere, I have to use a Youtube to MP3 converter. (Assume I can't use any other song.) However, I've heard that those converters are getting in trouble from Google. I'm pretty sure that if I put it in the Scratch project it's under fair use but would there be any complications for me personally?

(Also, the song I'm looking for is a Shotgun Lovers instrumental, no vocals. It's a Vocaloid song. If anyone else has found the MP3 that would be great as I wouldn't need to use the converter.)

I renounce specially on apps or programs. Why should not I use the site? I would use at home and on the go with your mobile phone. Is also very confortable and the quality is good. So I am not dependent on any software.

It's perfectly fine, thanks to Fair Use.
I did it for my Project Diva project, and I haven't been contacted yet to take it down.
Edit: After looking at the Vocaloid Wiki page for the song, I found an official mp3 (zipped) on the artist's website.

Don't worry about it, I use it all the time. Just be sure to provide credit in your project
