Prevent VPN networks with recent alert(s), account deletion(s) by the ST and/or current ban(s) from creating accounts
thats untrue, mass reports dont cause bans (even if they do, they mostly dont), and I have never seen a single IP evader use it to evade unfair bans (ig red? but I dont think red was IP banned anyways), the thing is, for someone to need a VPN to evade a ban, they would have evaded bans multiple times alreadyI have seen someone evade bans they receive. This feature would help prevent them from coming back.Ussually, VPN ban evading is used only for unfair bans, like if someone mass reported them for no reason and contact us doesn't work.Just report the scratcher again and the new IP will also be banned.
When someone attempts to create an account from a VPN network, they should receive this error message:It looks like you are using a VPN network. If none of your accounts are banned, or you don't have an account, please try again from another network.

Support. People using VPNs for legit purposes can just disable them and it would help defeat ban evaders.

Support. People using VPNs for legit purposes can just disable them and it would help defeat ban evaders. We can just disable ourselves at hospitals to not be rude towards its patients, right? Or, go in a wheel chair?
I mean, how about we ban users from using school networks cuz they can than ban evade using it.

Physical, non-VPN networks are much easier to IP ban, so they aren't exactly a good idea to ban the usage of.Support. No support. VPNs are eventually regular IP addresses from a bunch of relay nodes (I think), so there isn't any way to distinguish them. If you ban one IP, the user can just hop to another from their VPN while being anonymous. There is no solution
Also I don't want my OpenVPN setup to be blocked D:
Even if there was a solution, it would honestly be a cringe move

But, what if i get banned on my home network, and use Scratch at school? They should ban them, they’re easy for students to access.Physical, non-VPN networks are much easier to IP ban, so they aren't exactly a good idea to ban the usage of.Support. Firstly, people use VPNs for other stuff than evading Scratch bans (for example, you don't want websites to know your IP).No support because of the latter
And secondly, how would Scratch detect if you're using a VPN?

Then if the ST finds it a good idea, they'll IP ban the school. But, what if i get banned on my home network, and use Scratch at school? No, restrict them to hot spots, what if a student gets banned? Ignore the number of scratchers who use it in school! Then if the ST finds it a good idea, they'll IP ban the school. But, what if i get banned on my home network, and use Scratch at school? your ip says your city I believe so you are correct. My school used (idk if they use it anymore) a vpn on the computers (the device thinks/thought I was in Columbus, Ohio lol) so if they added this I wouldn't be able to use scratch at school because we aren't able to turn it off so that's funbecause i don't trust people like thatWhy don't you want them to know your IP address? No support. VPNs are eventually regular IP addresses from a bunch of relay nodes (I think), so there isn't any way to distinguish them. Why do people use this argument

Because it's a valid argument, plus you can use bypasses and public proxiesNo support. VPNs are eventually regular IP addresses from a bunch of relay nodes (I think), so there isn't any way to distinguish them. Why do people use this argument
>Google “vpn detection bypass”

(which still isn't a good metric but you get the point)
