never played it. or HAVE played it on the Wii U. got bored of it after a few minutes from playing.

In my opinion the mod is the best way to experience Earthbound Begginings. Makes it easier to appreciate.

In my opinion the mod is the best way to experience Earthbound Begginings. Makes it easier to appreciate.

While I have not played the Easy Ring mod, I did play the Earthbound Zero: Improved ROM Hack, and I would recommend it for anyone who is using an emulator and wants to play it for the first time. I used Retropie on my Raspberry Pi 4, and it worked very well.

you need to defeat a starman super and it will drop the sword every 1/128 times

The Sword of Kings is an extremely rare item only obtainable as a drop from a Starman Super. It has a 1 in 128 (0.78125%) chance of being dropped, and is the only item that is equippable by Poo as a weapon. It is infamously known to be one of the rarest items in the game, and can only be obtained before you fight Starman Deluxe(the boss of Stonehenge).
Speaking of Stonehenge, I find it to be absurdly annoying, even without grinding for the Sword of Kings. The second part is cool, at the “baseier” part of it, but I find the first part bland and confusing. The third part, which seems to be illuminated by lightning, looks cool but in practice is just a little less than decent.

I recently discovered that the Earthbound Player's Guide claims that the Gutsy Bat is dropped by a Kraken in the Sea of Eden, rather than a Bionic Kraken in the Cave of the Past. Ironically, the “big bat” you get in Magicant is the Magicant Bat, the last bat you will ever use in the overworld. However, the Gutsy Bat and the Legendary Bat are obtained right before the final boss, in which you don't really attack much. So, I would say that there is no real point in getting the Gutsy Bat, since there will no longer be any enemies to fight after you get back to Saturn Valley.

This is true. The only reason to get the Gusty Bat is if youre doing a 1/128 run.
