since the start of scratch i have been thinking there should be a record button and i wish there was SOO!!! scratch team plz make a record button plz thankue

This should be in the suggestions forum.

What would it record? We have an audio recorder built into the Sounds tab of the project editor. There is also a video recorder under the “File - Record and export video” menu option.

Eww.. I have Bandicam, and believe me.. It's not that great. But if you are just using it for like 5 minute videos on Scratch games, that'll be fine for use.

You could just take a screenshot of your code and upload it, if that's what you're trying to accomplish.

You can just upload a gif to a studio and copy image location

support. Someone could do like scratch letsplay video things. A record thing would be useful

Yup. Audio/video recording exists.

Since I don't have an image host, I can't show you, but go into the editor, click the “File” button at the top, and then click “Record & Export Video”, and choose the “Record entire editor” option. Sorta simple, but definitely there if you need it. No support.

NOTE: Recording time is 1 minute, so if you want something longer, try getting an external video recorder.

There is an extension (that I can't name) adding this back but in a different format:

Support the video recorder because I don't want to have to use something that is not the Scratch website to record a Scratch project. However, an unofficial way exists on TurboWarp which can be used for recording a Scratch project since it has a feature that records the current project.

The project video recorder has only ever existed in Scratch 2.0 and got removed in 3.0 which is another reason why I'm writing this.

This is what the backpack is for.
Also this is what the option looked like lol:

Fewer options collapsed all options except include sound from project.
Maybe with some of these options too, and also like this:

Record up to (x) seconds of video and save it to your computer.

Duration: ()

I haven't decided if the x seconds should be the same or some different number.
