you still need a netherite ignot to upgrade the armor, so it actually makes netherite stuff even harder to obtain
although you can duplicate all smithing templates. including netherite upgrades, with 7 diamonds and a material (netherrack for netherite upgrades)
this makes a full netherite set cost 96 diamonds[verify], assuming you crafted all of the armor and tools (not traded) and made duplicates of 1 netherite upgrade and left 1 spare (if you needed to duplicate more)

i think “Birthplace of Copper Fish” should be done in april (2nd anniversy of copper fish and the mineral fish in general (extremely important (mark your calendars)))
