Creating a Classroom, Teacher Help please
I am presently doing Scratch with a class of students. As a computer teacher, I think that this looks like an excellent way to introduce my students to coding. The only problem is that it is impossible to make a classroom as there are a lack of teacher controls or interfaces. To get around this I decided to make my students accounts, using my school e-mail address. The only problem is that when they tried to log in they were confronted by Captchas that would not let them get into my accounts. Does anyone have any advice on how I can utilize student accounts so that my students can save their work?
Thanks,
C

Also… how old are your students? If they're young, then I would set up an account for them. If they're older, they should create an account themselves and remember their username and password.
There are no separate “teacher's accounts” on Scratch - everyone is equal. So you are right that it is impossible to make a classroom. The closest you can do (to my knowledge) is to remember everyone's username and password.

1. Make an excel chart with everyone's usernames and passwords
2. Make accounts for them and tell everyone their password and username
3. Make a teacher account
4. Make a studio and invite everyone
5. Make sure no one is “manager” - they could mess up stuff
Then they will be able to upload their schoolwork to the studio and you'll be able to look at it.

Edits above. I think @ChocolatePi's idea is a good one.

If you have primary school kids, make them each an account with a random password, then make flash cards with their username and password on. If it's a high school class, ask them to make their own accounts and then get them to curate a studio where all their projects will be.

Try using Itch - It's scratch but with a ton of features for teachers to manage projects for the classroom!
