Non-Fi Fossil Dig
- Campers are paleontologists at a dig site
- We're going to choose a leader (from another cabin or ours :>), who secretly tries to “mess” with the campers because the dig site is actually the key to some ancient treasure
- The campers will have to complete different tasks + missions (writing challenges, taking care of themselves, solving puzzles) to earn clues
- They can also buy additional clues with their currency

Yeah, so that's what I was thinking for this <3

Additional ideas:
- Matching pfp's (similar to one that I have right now, or not – If you guys want to draw them, just let me know and we'll figure it out!
- Competitionetetion between word count studios for currency + prizes
- Campers can earn currency for taking care of themselves
- Similar to the JWC Monthly goals, we could have something similar (ie: complete 5 dailies, RP with someone in the cabin, sleep before 12 AM, etc.)

So on theme ideas:

Non-Fi Dig- like archaeology? :0 that could be so cool
We could go dinosaurs, or like, rocks/minerals with that

The museum is also a great idea, although I think that's been done before (although not the movie, so it could still work!)

Your pfp really looks like a park ranger - so we could be like, non-fi park rangers with new trainees and the campers “discover” new parts of nature as they progress through the storyline? And It's like a race to be the best park ranger

This is kind of like adventure instead of non-fi but I'll still suggest it bc why not
Geocaching? Like campers level up to find different items in their geocache, chosen by a generator project that we have. Then from that they could get idk, pfps, banners, stuff like that. (we could make some more common than others, like pfps) And there could be special prizes that are really rare, and whoever gets to level __ (decently high number) besides us ofc, gets the special golden item and wins or something? Or whoever has the most by the end of camp, to keep campers engaged for a while

Cabin Colors
- I was thinking shades of brown, and green

Here are a couple of hex colors:

Hi, I'm Waterfall, your average chaotic swc loving scratchers! :> Besides SWC, writing, reading, and scratch, I play the violin and love musical theater! but I'm in the US, so a couple hours bfore UTC if that helps

TC (which really should be CT so idk why we call it TC) is camp tropiland, which was basically an everything camp, it was really fun

I commented on iris's app to help convince her by essentially saying we're gonna be awesome so she should join us haha

cabin planning I always come on in pockets of time on the day (or night, as you've no doubt figured out, it's nighttime in the entirety of the US, even hawaii even though it's still early there - I wish I lived in hawaii lol)

and cabin wars I'm literally nocturnal until like three am where I live
sleep>swc except for those TWO days, which are hopefully weekend nights xD

Okay, a quick introduction <3 I'm Iris, an introverted teen who loves writing, reading and swimming. My favourite fandoms include Harry potter, hunger games, keeper of the lost cities and more :0 Besides my favourite hobbies, I love exploring out new things such as theatre, photography, nature and tv shows. I'm so excited to be a part of the slay non-fi team! <33

I absolutely love the idea of the fossil dig (as I also read in Glow's answers ) and really like how we can archeologists and find fossils (that could be our currency maybe) and I also really like Glow's pfp. The cabin colours also really support our theme and I love them!

We can have themed word count studios, I know Glow made one already for her but we could theme it like the Naturescape (Birdi's wort count studio for Thriller July 2022), or The candle in the dark (My word count studio in November)… I was actually thinking we can have a sort of a nature camp divided into three groups with the camp's goal to search for fossils (the fossil dig) and there is a huge competition between the groups. There could be three groups, each of us leading one (word count studio).

Mkay I think we all agreed on the non-fi archaeologists/fossil dig, so yay to our new theme!

What do you think about the cabin color scheme? (essentially what's in glow's pfp lol but I think maybe we could add like an offwhite like dino bones?)

Actually, the forum method seems like a great idea too, but studios also work, and that's the usual way that there isn't much of a problem with.
(mostly because we don't have to add everything haha) forums would only be inconvenient if we have new scratchers

Finally, we should each draft our themed introduction (which shouldn't be /too/ long, because we don't want to take up cabin space.) then we can discuss and combine them all together.

Oh, and pfps! I personally love the one that glow has, and think we should just keep those as our pfps.

I would prefer word count studios, since I'm not too comfortable using spreadsheets and sharing my email <3 Ooh, I'll make a more formal introduction for the study ahah xD I love the colours, and I think we could actually add a off-white for old fossils! <3 Thank you! Ok.. since we've talked about a lot, I'm just going to divide my answers into topics XD

Word Counts
- I think that it would be easier to do this as its what most cabins do (this as in studios)
- Also we have to consider that we might get new scratchers as well (like Waterfall said)
- I agree that we should have three seperate themes for each cabin
- The three word count studios could have some internal competeition to encourage campers to write, but to also promote cabin bonding

Cabin Relationships
- Ok, so far I haven't asked anyone yet, but we should get started before all siblings, neutrals, etc. are finalized
- Fantasy (Faux-tasy) asked to be our enemies, and I've accepted <3
- Is there anyone you guys want to offer to?

Icons + Cabin colors
- Ok, I'll make them <33
- Would you guys be able to provide me with a desc. of your OC (or a reference)?
- We'll add an off-white tone to the palette as well, and send them to Moonlit <33

Banners
- Woah, those look amazing, Iris :O
- I personally prefer the first one – but both are incredible!!

Storyline + currency
- I think like Waterfall said, each of us can start drafting the storyline, and we can combine them to create one
- Ok, the currency will be fossils – we just need to find a good symbol <3

CABIN RELATIONSHIPS: update!
Alyssa just asked if we wanted to be siblings with Horror – what do you guys think? Maybe we could be triplets with Adventure as our theme kind of relates to the idea of “adventure”.

I'm all up for it, I'll confirm the offer if you guys are fine with it

Cabin Mascot
- Also guys, I was thinking it would be cool if we had a cabin mascot
- Maybe since we're doing a fossil theme we could have a dinosaur or something like that? ^^

Additional(s):
- So.. I believe we've settled on the theme of a Non-Fi Fossil Dig
- I'm going to change the name of the main studio <3
- Also, something else we need to clear up: I like the idea of having a dig where campers are working together to find fossils, and competing amongst each other (between word count studios) – thanks Iris for that idea!
- My original idea would make it so that the theme is more mystery/adventure based.. (wait- I just got an idea..!)
- Ok, so basically the campers are going to be working together to solve challenges, find fossils, etc.
- In the middle of the session we'll have a leader who “tries to mess” with the cabin (in terms of stealing from the dig, or whatever we decide upon), and the campers have to solve clues/puzzles and/or complete missions that promote self-care to find the culprit to save their dig

That way, the storyline is not overloaded with another genre, but it's still fun and engaging. What do you think ^^

So, I think having a basic studio word count studio will work best for us, and new scratchers since I had a couple of them in my word group last session and they were easily able to manage. I would suggest a camp theme, basically a nature camp with a main idea to search for fossils and there will be three groups competing, eg. team tree, flower and fruit xD

I like the idea of the cabin relationships, and it'll be cool to have horror and adventure as siblings. I don't have a particular OC I've made but I can send you a persona if you wish! <3 The off white is good too!

Our cabin mascot could be a small compy (compsognathus) for they are cute and small, also going with our theme! <3 We can use a name generator or something to decide its name..

About the storyline, what if we're like three leaders of different groups. One of us gets greedy about the money we'll get after giving them to the national museum and tries to steal other teams fossils and confuse them to slow them down from finding them so that the leader can (sorry for the bad description ahah) and then the campers in the teams will try to stop the leader, and perhaps figure out why she's doing it. We can have some sort of daily check in, like horror had ‘the ghost’s orders' which was basically a in-cabin check in or daily. I was thinking we could name it ‘the daily report’ or ‘the daily discoveries’, but feel free to suggest any others names! The main idea of camp is basically to enjoy, compete, learn about fossils (we can maybe have a new fact about digging or like dinosaurs each day?) and try to find fossils to give the museum. How does this sound? I'm open to feedback and changes!
