Yeah. If you run into a problem with nearly any software (and this includes arch) it's probably your fault.Out of curiosity, how stable is Arch? I know a bit of a major issue with distros like Manjaro is how its rolling-release model can cause your whole installation to break after an update, is this true for Arch too?I have installed hundreds maybe even thousands of updates on Arch Linux. and my system HAS NOT BROKE ONCE. Dont let the internet deceive you. Every time I “break” Arch Linux, its because of MY stupidity.

btw, i use arch
i installed arch onto a 64 gig usb drive using virtualbox and it works pretty well, the only thing i’m worried about is not enough storage space since i install way too much stuff

the average. Plus, Linux packages are basically the open source terminal based .msi, which downloads an infinitely larger app from the internet and does some stuff to make it an actual app that is installedbtw, i use archthe average Linux package takes 400 kb to 100mb so i wouldnt worry about that.

that's weird! I'm using a VM and it works perfectly. What VM app do you use and did you choose the right iso (amd64)Currently I'm using QEMU for the VM. Not because I found them good, but because my hard drive is in need for some space and QEMU is the simplest VM I can found. That VirtualBox attempt is when I had Windows as my OS.
The Arch VM is in an external hard drive so I don't need to worry for that to fill up.

It's a really old laptop and I heard somewhere that LXQt is the best for old laptops. (Core 2 Duo from 2006)
