It would be cool if you could make private accounts in the settings you could toggle private and it would say:

This user has a private profile. This users profile will not open

semi-support. I feel that this could cause private messaging, but since private profiles can't access other private profiles, it likely won't work.
people could also make a private profile and then share inappropriate projects, but no one would be able to see them, so there would kind of be no real point.

There would be no private messaging it would just be shown to you and you can still send comments but you can still share projects but they may harder. And you can't share (add access to view your profile )with other people

I have no support here at the moment.

The only thing I don't get is why you would want to have a private account if you can just play and create logged out.

You can save and load Scratch files into your computer by using the “file” button on the top left corner.

What's even the point of doing this anyways?

Support. this probably would not lead to PMing, as you'd have the same filter as any other account

I do hope these a “request access” button to press to request for people to see your account

ST should be fully able to see all accounts, private or not

uh, about that “this probably would not lead to PMing”. by having access to a serect account, you get access to talk to them in a private place, whihc is private messaging

For comparison purposes. You also have the comment filter for projects, and yet unlisted projects are banned

If you don't comment, share projects, or do any social interaction at all, it is extremely unlikely anyone will ever find your account. If you don't want a near-zero chance of someone stumbling upon a blank, default profile, the offline editor is always an option. This is just unnecessary.

the chance isn't that low, I found a ton of them

I believe the main purpose of this would be if you wanted to get rid of social interactions for a while (and this is also an alternative to a “close comments on all projects” button)

The problem with this, however, is that if the user had an innapropriate username, you wouldn't be able to report it as easily

(no request access button, that would lead to PMing, which isn't allowed. Sure theres a filter, but thats a complete seperate and different thing, not to mention that at the very least, you could threaten the other person to not report or “I will hack your account”, and although most people wouldn't believe that, scratch has many young users who would fall for it)

the point here is that your profile is private, your projects would still be accessable, however, they would be harder to find (this would be useful if you want to get rid of social interactions temporarily without having to close all comments on your projects, unshare everything, and possibly removing your WIWO and about me)
