Typing in the text \b anywhere in your project causes the whole project to permanently crash

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 108.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
Earlier today I made a post on here about a project I had that crashed. I figured out exactly why it crashed.
If you type the text, \back, into a list, a variable, or say block, save the project, and reload the page, you will be greeted with an error message. You will be unable to play your project, and unable to see inside or edit it.
I have no idea why this causes the whole project to be destroyed, but it does. I tested it multiple times, on projects that both had other code in it and didn't.
Hopefully Scratch Team will see this someday and fix it. Thanks for reading.

Edit 1/6/2023 16:11:10: Correction: typing \b anywhere causes your project to crash, it does not have to be \back. Credit: RED-001-alt

\back may be important in project.json, or at least \. Project.json contains all your code, and a lot of characters can mess with it.

Can reproduce, I tried setting a variable to “\back”, saved the project, then reloaded the page, and the project crashed.

It may be a command for the project.json that Scratch recognises

What happens if you just enter “\b”?

It does the same thing
I also found that just typing \ doesn't do anything.

If the project contains \b, then it will crash
OP, please change the title to match this (I don't think \back specifically is causing this)

it may be a command important to project.json, which causes the project to be a permanent crash.

I tried it out and honestly, that's kinda weird. I'm not sure why this happens since I don't really know of anything going on behind the scenes but it's both cool and a major issue nonetheless.

I did this for the variables but it deleted the variables instead.

Why are using windows NT in 2023? how are you even running chrome on a 30-year-old laptop?

edit: How are using windows NT in 2023, that startup is loud
It's windows' internal name, the number after is the version of windows, Windows NT 10.0 would be Windows 10

Also remove the edit I was being dumb LOL, I think I encountered another bug because turns out I refreshed right before it fully saved, and I was using the wrong slash, so it basically cleared what was already on the project.

I make this in Turbowarp and it doesn't crash, save the project in turbowarp that has “\b” and download it into PC, I opened that into scratch and said the project cannot be loaded, try load in Turbowarp and it seems to be fine, I suggest that share the project, edit them in Turbowarp, and maybe work?
