Yeah, the currency of this server is diamonds, for the most part. Me and Dood also talked about it (we co-own the tower, it's called the DD Tower btw) and decided that floors 2-6 will be free, however:

• you must build something in the floor, if you just leave it empty then we will take it back
  
• one free floor per person
  

After that, floors 7-11 are for sale for 10 diamonds each. You also cannot own more than two floors.

By the way, I guess I should explain how the server works. :P This is a cooperative SMP (like Hermitcraft), so for the most part, just be considerate of others and use common sense when claiming land. The city at spawn is separated into two districts: the suburban district, and downtown. The suburban district has sidewalks made of andesite and is where you're supposed to build houses and other smaller shops. Downtown has brick roads and is where you would build bigger buildings and skyscrapers. If you find an empty space of land that has no signs on it saying it's being used, then you're free to build a house, shop, or whatever other building there. In downtown there is also a marketplace which has lots of smaller market stands, for people who want to sell something but don't want to create an entire building for it. You're also free to build a stand and sell things there wherever there's empty space. Alternatively, you can completely leave the city and build your base far away, which I think you've already done. :P It's recommended that all shops go in the city though, so they can be all in one place, and you're more likely to get customers there, too.

Also, it is worth mentioning that all farms on the server are public unless specifically stated otherwise. So if you see a farm, make sure to check for signs first before using it. This isn't an official rule, but that's always how it's been on STS. If you're not sure whether a farm is public, you're welcome to ask on the topic! Most farms near spawn are public though, like the mob farm atop DD Tower, the sugarcane farm building, the potato farm in Alex Park, the iron farm, the egg farm, etc.

you may not claim land near my house or that lush cave in the spruce forest as i already claimed that. no cities in the spruce forest. can i claim floor 2?

i declare that dood is banned where ever i am, even the mob farm st the top of dd tower
