I forgot, but when was the mouse pointer introduced?
Sometime during Windows 1.0's development.

Plus (pun intended), I made a project containing the startup and shutdown sounds from a theme from the Plus! expansion pack for Windows 98, namely the theme entitled “Garfield.”Ooh, yeah. I've actually seen it first-hand on a 98 VM, thanks to widescreen, it didn't look so good.

Grew up using Windows XP and I still have a fondness in my heart for it. I just really like the look and function of old Windows even tho I use 10 and 11 now. I'd love to try using 3.1, 95, and 98 more often; I think I have an emulator for 95 that I tried to run some old games on.

I'm not sure how to do it myself, but don't worry, there are tutorials online for making VMs of even 1.0!
I think my VMs consist of: Windows 98, Linux, and Windows XP. I had a Windows 7 VM but it force upgraded to 10 so surprise surprise, I got rid of it. All of my stuff went missing anyway. :P

Windows XP is the bestI kind of agree, once Vista got all it's service packs, it was pretty good.
Vista is the second best
I wish so much that I could use XP though. If you can find a good antivirus and browser, the OS is actually very secure considering a lot of the old viruses are gone and all that's left are really Windows 10 viruses (Which could work with 7 as well).

I have a Windows XP VM and I don't have any viruses on it due to me disabling the Internet.Windows XP is the bestI kind of agree, once Vista got all it's service packs, it was pretty good.

Welp, I suppose I should warn someone about this. Windows 10 disables your internet after declining the 11 upgrade. Not 100% of the time, but it does sometimes. It'll do this if you decline normal updates too.
To fix this, go into the control panel and enable it again. It's easier for me because I have ClassicShell installed, but control panel is still there somewhere.
Just remember, this is all a dirty business tactic to get you to upgrade to an OS that hasn't been fully tested for exploits, backdoors or glitches. I may sound like I'm going on a rant, but I'm really sick of feeling that way because this is a legitimate problem.

I would switch to Linux in a heartbeat if I backed up my laptop, but since I haven't yet, I'm stuck. :P Anyway, the whole thing sucks. I feel like it's just not going to give me a choice at some point like it did back in the days of Windows 7.Welp, I suppose I should warn someone about this.
