Option to revert to old studio layout
If the appearance was different for different people, it would be difficult for people to teach others things. Imagine trying to teach someone to use something that looks completely different then what you're using.that makes sense but not that much has been changed between the two layouts

Option to revert to old studio layout
[removed—the rejected suggestion was for the editor, not the Scratch website]

Option to revert to old studio layout
Rejected. This is the OPTION to revert to the old layot, not suggesting a complete revert…Some users prefer the look and feel of the Scratch 2.0 editor, and have suggested that the editor look like Scratch 2.0, but still run off of HTML5 like Scratch 3.0 does. However, this would be more complicated for educational and documentation purposes. It could be confusing if someone is trying to learn Scratch from someone who is using a completely different layout of the editor than them. In addition, the Scratch Team changed the design for a reason: to make it easier, more intuitive, and friendlier for newcomers to use. If you dislike the Scratch 3.0 editor, you can still download the Scratch 1.4 or Scratch 2.0 offline editors.

If the old and the new one ain't that different, then why add an option to switch between them?

Option to revert to old studio layout
If the old and the new one ain't that different, then why add an option to switch between them?there's been many posts on here talking about how everything is too big and overstimulating and EXTREMELY stressful for people with sensory issues (such as myself).
It's very insensitive to assume that people will “just get used to it over time” since with some people, it's impossible to “get used to it” since it contains severe sensory triggers.

so, uh, excuse this bad mockup, i'm on an iPad so I basically drew over a screenshot. The button could look like this:

or something. Messy, I know, I literally just drew on a screenshot XP

Option to revert to old studio layout
I’m not suggesting REVERTING the layout.Same..Sad this was rejected ):
I think it would be a good idea for an option to make the studio layout more similar to the previous one.
The current layout is very intimidating and oversized, and looking at it feels a bit stressful since it gives the feeling of being “towered over”. For people who like the current design they can keep the new one, but an option to view studios in a design more like the previous one would be a good idea. The new features of studios would be the same, the design would just be different. It could be compared to using the older versions of the editor.
EDIT: THIS IS NOT REJECTED. What is rejected is reverting the whole entire update. I’m just suggesting an option to change the LAYOUT. And this would be a personal setting applying to all studios, not a choice for the studio owner.

i still don't like the new one so i changed it back to the old one however i don't think this is suggesting for those features to be back too.

(#32)I don't think they're suggesting to bring back the features along with it, I think they're just suggesting an option to change the layout back to the original.
I support. Even though the new look is smoother, there's a lot of features i miss

Super Support! I prefer the old studio layout as it's easier to organize, and for the classic look.

2.4 Revert back to older versions of Scratch
Scratch has to update sometimes in order to accommodate for certain changes. In particular, an online editor that ran off of Adobe Flash (rather than Java) was added in Scratch 2.0, and Scratch 3.0 was created for tablet support and in anticipation of the discontinuation of Flash. Changing the editor back to these older versions of Scratch would not only undo years of hard work by the Scratch Team, but they also might not work online anymore. If you wish, you can download the Scratch 1.4 and Scratch 2.0 offline editors.
The Scratch Team is still working on bug fixes, new features, and other improvements on Scratch 3.0. The new interface was created in such a way that it is easy for the Scratch Team to keep working on improving Scratch 3.0, although updates and bug fixes take much longer to implement than you think.
*facepalm*

It does not specifically say that visual reversions are rejected. It only says reversing an entire update with many features will get a rejection. For example, you wouldn't ban the word “are” because it was included in an insult (no examples because I don't want to be rude).Rejected*facepalm*2.4 Revert back to older versions of Scratch

I don't think the Scratch developers would want to maintain two different designs of the studio page.

I don't think the Scratch developers would want to maintain two different designs of the studio page.Maybe the color palette of the old page can be put onto the new page, then make it slightly smaller
