My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 97.0.4692.99, No Flash version detected

I have a normal sound I imported that has no volume changes, and when I play it in scratch and go to the sound editor, and go back and forth between that and the code or costume tab, it slowly gets quieter until it's inaudible. The only code that deals with the audio is one that plays it, waits for it to finish, and then starts it again. I've also been having this issue, it's very frustrating.
