Scratch doesn't probably want to collaborate with Innersloth Games for a single sprite, especially when you can easily draw one for your project, which is really easy, or use somebody else's drawing from online (which can't violate copyright in most cases).

Yes. Check out the extensions in the Scratch editor, showing that Scratch has collaborated with Amazon Web Services, Google, JoyLabz, micro:bit, LEGO, and Vernier. And these were for new blocks/extensions, something which is arguably more complicated than sprites/costumes.

Among Us is a pretty violent premise, with the goal being to murder everyone else. It also has guns and other weapons, and unmoderated chat, so I don’t believe it would be wise for the Scratch Team to collaborate with them.

the thing with adding new sprites is that if they really only serve one purpose you might as well upload since the scratch team is not going to dedacate their time to getting permission for a pretty useless sprite

Agreed. Even though there are Among Us games on Scratch made by users, I don't think it would be wise for Scratch to partner with Innersloth on their side geared towards children.
