Scratch Avatars?
Well OK. I was just thinking of this idea as a fun idea, not an idea that would lead to this sort of thing.Scratch isn't one of those “make a game very easily in like 10 minutes” things. It's supposed to help you learn how to program! If you can't be bothered to program your game, then don't use Scratch. Find a different place to make them that actually makes this stuff easy. (Also, sorry if this is coming off as rude.)See? That's the point. It's too confusing to make it, so why not add it. Plus, it will make Scratch unique.Or you could do it. I'm giving you a general idea of how to do it. It's up to you to implement it.-sigh-Great! Now make it so that you can play as the character in a game!
Look, I made an avatar project in like 15 or 20 minutes!!! It's not that hard: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/101480790/#player

and then scratch would be bloated with randomly generated platformersWell, you could make your own in-game avatar editor, instead of trying to be lazy and have the ST make everything easy for you. We can't let the ST make everything easy for you- what's next, an instant platformer block? No support. I feel like this feature wouldn't be very useful. You can always just use some other online or offline avatar creation software. There are plenty of online avatar creation softwares where you can customize your avatar to look exactly the way you want it to. But on Scratch? I don't see how having a custom avatar creator will help with programming.Well, an avatar could be useful for a game in which you have to select characters. You could select your avatar and play as your avatar. Still don't support? Try making a project in which you can make an avatar and use it in game. See? WAYY too confusing.when gf clickedOr you can also ask them to upload their own image as a sprite's costume.

It would not make Scratch unique, in any way, at all. A bunch of other websites already do it. There are way too many possibilities of how this would work. Would if have to be an extra block? Where would it go? What if it was too big? Way too many things, it would just require more useless coding. When you said that “It was too confusing to make.” you pretty much said, “I'm too lazy to actually put work into a project.” Just because scratch is for kids doesn't mean the program should hold your hand. No support to deepest of no supports.

No support. This isn't much of an important programming paradigm, so I can't see new blocks being made for it. Sorry.

I think instead of avatars scratch should allow us to save sprites
- you won't have to create the same sprite every time you create a game
- it makes scratch more customizable
- you can screenshot your sprite and save that as your profile picture

I know it won't make scratch easier to use but it will make it simpler and quicker to learn with

I think this is cool. Mii like system on scratch? That would be amazing. I could see a lot of projects benefitting from this, such as an “Imagine what forumers look like (no pgbflite6373)”. The possibilities are endless! Now, let's go over some issues. This is basically holding a child's hand in creating a project. This is pretty huge as Scratch is about making stuff on your own. (If you want more info look at the stuff above). However, that shouldn't be an issue. Scratch is meant to have a low floor, meaning its easy to get into. We should be able to have some stuff done for us. Doing one thing for us could allow even more creativity, which is what scratch is aiming for. If a kid has no idea how to do this, he would just give up on the idea. WIth this, he doesn't need to give up.

im not calling you lazy, but if you want to make an avatar, just try using codes
like mii maker 3 (i forgo where it was)
and if you cant do it in 3 weeks, then dont expect the ST to be doin it
edit: stop trying to bias users, include my whole quote

This is already in scratch.IG waht u men but he means something like tynker's customisable avatars that game creators can insert as an animated costume (they have a bunch of smooth animations) like scratch kart would have avatar option and it would check for ur avatar

The suggestion called for the ability to create an avatar in Scratch and be able to use it in projects, albeit making a sprite in Scratch, putting it in the backpack, and using it in other projects is already a workaround for this without adding extra code to the profile page of the website.
