I feel this is too complicated, especially for newer scratchers. And besides, the pick random number block doesn't do this.

I like the idea! It is workaroundable, but it would save code. I would use the following wording, though:

<() is between () and ():: operators>

Other than that, I give support!

Simple workaround but in this case I 100% support this because ive had to this SO MANY TIMES.

The workaround most people are suggesting is not accurate as it does not account for letters or decimals

Workarounds I think (yes I know it can be shorter and better lol, and warning big image):

For letters/words just check the value/length and if its a string (didn't want it to be too big) and compare them and use this process.
