My Scratch cannot read WAV files
My Scratch sound editor cannot read any format of sound file. I looked at Scratch forums and it said Scratch can only read WAV files and all the sounds I use for Scratch are WAV format. What should I do?

Hrm… Does the “uploading sound” loading bar appear? How long have you waited? Sound files sometimes take forever to upload. My Scratch sound editor cannot read any format of sound file. Actually Scratch can also read MP3 formats as well (thought not all the time). My Scratch sound editor cannot read any format of sound file. I looked at Scratch forums and it said Scratch can only read WAV files and all the sounds I use for Scratch are WAV format. What should I do?

Scratch 1.4 and 2.0 do accept .WAV files if they are uncompressed. You might want to check if your .WAV file is the uncompressed version (PCM). Otherwise, most sound editors and convertors already convert files to this format (Audacity is free and can covert files to this format).
If you're still having problems uploading, try sharing the file somewhere online (such as on a file sharing website like dropbox) so other Scratchers can take a look to see if the problem can be duplicated.
