User From ID
Not sure if this should be in QaS or Advanced Topics, feel free to move it.
So I know that you can find a users ID by going to api.scratch.mit.edu/users/USERNAMEHERE
For example, my ID is 103306993.
I’ve always enjoyed puzzles and ciphers, and I think it’d be interesting where I could make a new account for the puzzle, and have some sort of puzzle to find the ID, and then find the account. The problem is that I do not know how to use the API to find a user based on an ID. Not even sure if it’s possible.
Possible Solution:
Make a cipher for the username instead of the ID.
This does make logical sense, and would work as an alternative. I would prefer to use the ID, since it’s a bit more obscure and I just think user IDs are interesting, but this is a good solution if I can’t find anything.

So your saying that the user has the same username as their user ID?No, the Username contains letters, numbers, and symbols. The ID is number exclusive. Just like a username, a user has their own unique ID. It’s another way of identifying a user.
