The FIFA world cup is a global soccer tournament that takes place every 4 years. It’s the most viewed sport with millions of viewers. A soccer game is divided up into two forty-five minute halves. The referee can add extra time for things like stopping play for injuries, but the clock doesn’t stop as often as it does in American football. Halftime is no more than 15 minutes. If the game is scoreless after the 90 minutes, then 2 fifteen minute overtime periods are added.

My father is really into this, but I watched around 60 minutes of the Qatar v. Ecuador game. It was shocking, incredibly shocking. I wish I knew what the commentators had to say though, as I know little about soccer and would have liked to known what they thought of the way Qatar played. (He was watching the game in Spanish so yeah)
