Ok so my school district is old so they do not play around.

Before we got new shiny Dell latitude 3189's (thank God they are not Chromebook) we had HP stream 11's with 2gb of ram, 24gb system memory, Intel Celerons, 720p 3fps screen, it was just crummy. It was a HP stream 11 Edu edition of some sort. It was horrible. Now the latitude 3189's have a intel 17, 12gb dual channel ram and its good, but we have so much school software from the school that it feels like a stream 11. Oh yeah did i mention that for some ungodly reason our streams were running Windows XP, then Vista for half of my life in middle school. On our new computers everything is locked down. They blocked scratch because our school does not use it, any website not approved by the IT people in our school (IT is the technical people) And even Minecraft does not work. So, it sucks. I miss the windows XP version with no blocking. Also, they can see your screen 24/7 and send a message to your parents of what you're doing in less than 3 seconds. They even blocked Task Manager.

Thats it though. Hopefully nothing horrible is on this forum

Our school chromebooks have a blocker called SecURLy, which also has a home version that they give to parents so they can see what their kid does and set a bedtime limit (of which mine is at very early at 7:00 pm CST, which I must go to bed at 8:00 pm CST). Also, they can send your parents emails about when you go on non-school sites in mere seconds. I am so darn glad they haven't blocked TCRF, The LPS Stop or LPSQueen.com. My parents don't really care what I go on as long as it's not R-rated.

Fun fact: All the class (Scratch) accounts had the same password! Meaning that I (SmurfEthan09class) could (and did) log into my classmate (Purplepineapple12) as a prank.

Ctrl + Shift + Q – Log out of your Chromebook. Press the key combination twice to quit. Alt + E – Open the Chrome browser's menu. This only works if a Chrome browser window is open and focused.

My school computer (I am using it to post this!) uses Chrome and you can't use certain social media platforms. You can watch the YT video “dQw4w9WgXcQ” (it is very funny) and use all aspects of Scratch.

And yes, you CAN bring them home when you're old enough (like me!), which gets very handy if I have homework. (sorry if this is a necropost)
