What? CubeUpload is dying? Nope, I think they were in 2019 but now they're still there and it's fine again. Anyway, I'd still like more image hosts.

One problem: you are NOT allowed to use ImgBB if you are not an adult. (srsly, see its terms)

This line in particular:

ImgBB wrote:

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Site.

Even if CubeUpload isn't at risk of shutting down anymore, it's still good to not have to rely on only one image host.

It kind of does actually.

Step 1:
Go here and follow the instructions.

Step 2:
Once you have the bookmarklet bookmarked, go to your My Stuff.
(NOTE: Once you have it bookmarked, you will not have to repeat Step 1 again)

Step 3:
Create a new project.

Step 4:
Click the the bookmark while in your project, and choose the image you want to upload.

Step 5:
Go back to your My Stuff, and right-click your project's image.

Step 6:
Click “Open Image in New Tab”, or on some browsers, “Copy Image Address”.

Step 7:
Ta-Da! All done! You now can use this image on the Forums, or anywhere on Scratch for that matter!
You dont have to use a book tho

I use an extension (can't say because rules) for uploading photos

Instead of adding more hosts, try making an “upload to assets” button to automatically send a HTTPS POST request to assets.scratch.mit.edu. It'd allow users without “the extension” to easily upload images from their PCs for use on the forums. Problem solved.

True, it can damage image quality if you use uploads though

For imgbb: No support, as the terms say you would have to be 18+ to use it. Which immediately cuts off about 94% of the 0.1% of active accounts.
For Imgur: No support, as there is inappropiate/political pictures.
For Google Photos: Support, as that's the one non-scratch-related photo sharing site that is allowed on my device.

Can't other websites be used to post inappropriate stuff, why isn't everything banned, then?

Most of the websites that Scratch allows for image hosting have some sort of restrictions to block inappropriate images from being hosted on their sites.

Still…even the ones WITH inappropriate images could be used, I don't think many people will post inappropriate images.

Point 1: You can do that on a project super easily, just uploading an inappropriate image from your files directly into your project.
Scratch doesn't seem to worry about that with the projects. Why should the forums be any different? And I hardly ever see people post inappropriate things on projects even with the less restrictive images.

Point 2: There are less people on the forums than there are on the general scratch platform. Heck, I've been on scratch for YEARS, ever since fourth grade(but on a different account) and I didn't even know the forums existed until a few months ago. With the larger pool of general scratch users, there's a higher chance of one out of - let's just say 100 - will be the type of person that'll post an inappropriate image.

Basically what I'm saying is that since there's less people on the forums, there's gonna be less of the people who will post bad images.

Point 3: The majority of scratch users are elementary schoolers, and in my experience, basically every elementary schooler I've ever met has some kind of restriction to prevent them from doing things they shouldn't, or they just have strict parents who will see if they access anything inappropriate.

Point 4: We are running out of image hosters to use. There is no perfect image hosting server, and if we keep refusing every image hosting server because it doesn't meet these high standards, we won't have any left to use. And I have this feeling cubeupload won't be around much longer.

Point 5: Ok, I'm not sure if this is happening for anyone else, but cubeupload isn't working for me. I've tried countless times, but my images never upload, and there's nothing wrong with the images, they aren't too big in size or file size. They just don't work.

Point 6: School computers restricting image hosters, etcetera, etcetera.
