Mark topics as stale if messages haven't been posted for sometime

You keep bumping lol, but anyways, great idea, however maybe a bit longer? There's always still hope that someone will post. Plus, the creator'll get a message, so they could remember to close it? Maybe 5 months or something.

what about a notice on the top for stale topics that reads this:

This topic has been marked stale, due to very low activity in the past few months. If you want to post something, think twice if it actually adds something to the topic to avoid necroposting. Also, if this topic has been resolved (meaning the answer has been given), please don't post as the creator is probably not caring about this anymore.

I think your third sentence could be better written as:

In addition, if this topic has been resolved (meaning the answer has been given), consider reporting the topic closed or suggesting a better method to solve a problem rather than suggesting something similar.

It's a bit more formal and I have also realized that some ST members close a topic if its resolved, so I suggested doing that.

Maybe make it so new scratchers can’t post on stale topics? I think this could reduce necroposting more as as far as I’ve seen it’s mainly by new scratchers who don’t know what it means (although this may lead to loads if posts saying ‘why can’t I post on a stale topic’).
