unless chat filter, many people have multiple emails and just use those for account creation.

the chat filter is different. i said that it only affects the person who commented. the chat filter DOES make a difference that actually helps somewhat. this won't because so many siblings have the same email and with this filter, if one person is banned, the whole family goes down.

Yeah, but only if you get IP banned. If you’re a more responsible Scratcher, then it should be fine. I remember one time when I got banned for a week due to a misunderstanding, with no way to appeal. (I unfortunately can’t access Contact Us.) I did not attempt to access another account during this ban period, albeit I did check my banned account often to see if I’d be unblocked due to the fact that it was a misunderstanding. You see, I was trying to be responsible, and I don’t think my brother should have to suffer for a solid week just because he’s related to the person who has the slim possibility to ban evade. Many other users would in similar situations.

As far as I can tell, that does indeed happen — but this suggestion would only escalate the problem. Your red herring just doesn’t work here. The Scratch Team bans people, not accounts. You’re suggesting that they use overly strict methods that would harm many innocent users; that’s just not an option. I would prefer that they would just keep an eye on the activity of IP addresses with banned users, but that conversation can warrant another topic, and I’m not here to make another suggestion. I just want to tell you that this simply cannot work. Make sense?

I think they already do that with IP bans.

I don't really see a point to this suggestion, it wouldn't hurt the website but it wouldn't necessarily benefit it either. As others have mentioned, there's always the option of making a new email or using a fake one to get around this anyways, so it wouldn't really do much.
