help im lowkey confused even though yall def explained what git is i. dont understand.
what i understood was its like seeing different revisions of projects like seeing the history of a wikipedia page or smthn but then yall brough up open-source and collabs like how do those relate i dont get it

This just sound like it'll make everything more complicated. Scratch is targeted more towards younger audiences, and, to me, git sounds hard to understand.

I'm pretty sure this still counts as a version control system. Basically, Git is a way to save different versions of your code and revert to any version if needed. One of my suggestions to this is to remove branches before because that's a tad complicated. Otherwise, this is actually quite simple to add would barely make a difference when making a project.

It is basically like seeing Wikipedia history, but it's code instead of text and you can revert to older versions whenever

This would be good for collaboration. It doesn't have to be true git, it can just be like git but you can control it in the browser, plus maybe some niceties that you find in software forges, for example issues and pull requests.

Bumpy bump. This idea is nice, but it should only be for shared projects, to prevent private messaging.
