¿Why scratch dosent bring an dog mascot version too?

I mean i do like the cat mascot but ill like a dog version too because for no reason at all,but the only reason that i got is that no one thinks that in scratch the only pet that accept here is an cat,for those who dont like cats thats all

Scratches mascot is a cat because cat's ‘scratch’ stuff and the website/language is called scratch so they made the mascot a cat to reference it.

Well, i doubt they would add a dog mascot too with how synonymous scratch is with the cat

Those are clearly only the best mascots! What are you talking about?

Jokes aside, there is no exact border between mascot and a default sprite, i'd argue those dog sprites are mascots, as they are very commonly used, unlike D-Money dance and catcher

dog-1, dog-2 and… (why are they called dot? guys dot is not a good name, like it's cool, but why are they not just called dog-3, do i have to say i- wait you'll pay me 1 dollar a day and force me to work overtime if i screw this up? fine, geez, aw man i can't wait until i move out of here) dot are commonly used, but i still think the distinctive wing ngan mascots are the primary mascots, as you don't see dog-2 being used in promotional artwork or on official web pages.

to the op: i think cats were… just the first thing that they came up with! no specific reason other than the scratch pun. cats are more known for scratching than dogs, so obviously cats will be more fitting for a website called “scratch.”

Because the scratch team likes to eat wet dog food and wants to hog it all for themselves to they pay no attention to dogs


Most likely the reason is because cats are easier to draw than dogs, and it is also difficult to draw a dog as a humanoid unless it is a furry which is not what the mascots are going for.
