i found some guy said some dude deleted his comments when i went to his profile it showed a guy who claimed to be the one who deleted someones comments how did they do that


im sure its similar to “replying to someone on a project youve never seen before didnt even reply to” thing but idk

I'm assuming the guy who owns the profile is the one deleting the comments, and the other guy is trying to be a funny.

Uh, no. I was the victim and I can confirm it was 100% true. I’ve been here for 5 years, and this has never happened before. You can see my profile comments.

Who deleted @Porgs57's comment/s and where? I'm assuming it is either the project's creator, studio's creator or person who deleted the comment/s on his/her account.
Only these people (and possibly the Scratch Team) are allowed to delete replies and comments and which one depends on the situation.
The only exception is the “report” option. If a comment is reported 2 times, it will get deleted.

I think the comments were mass reported

If a comment is reported twice, it is automatically deleted. Someone probably used their own account + an alt to report the comment and get it deleted. Unfortunately this is unavoidable as far as I know, but I would recommend screenshotting/copying the text of any important comments and maybe use Contact Us to inform the Scratch Team about it if this becomes a major problem for you.

Is that actually real?? That's so insanely easily exploitable I'm surprised it hasn't been done en masse to wipe entire comment sections

I've tested it multiple times. You can test if you want, I'll leave a comment saying ‘Test’ on my profile and you can report that with your main and alt (if you have one). I agree, it is scarily exploitable; someone should probably do something about that…
