Sometimes, we don't have any creative ideas for today's Scratch project. The Ideas page may help, but it's more of a “Tutorials” page. After scrolling through one of my favorite websites, I stumbled upon a random idea generator to build something interesting. Like LEGO's random idea generator, what if the ideas page can do the same? Some random idea examples that this generator can make are.

Make a pong game but make Gobo the star

or

Create a story about a robot dragon

I wanted these ideas to have some Scratcher creativity still. For example, the robot dragon idea doesn't say anything about its personality or where it lives. Those decisions are up to the scratcher.

There are already projects out there (including a few of mine) that generate ideas for people.

Sure, most of these were made by the Scratch community, but my point is simple: We already have a ton of random idea generators on Scratch.

I understand that there are many idea generators made by the Scratch community, but they probably get fewer views compared to the Ideas page.

True, although when I searched up “idea generator”, I found a project with 10,000 views that was featured, and I also found @ceebee's random idea generator.

I don't think very many people would use this. It's very hard to make an idea generator where the ideas are unique concepts, so the ideas wouldn't really be that interesting. They'd mostly just be existing ideas that most people have seen a million times.
Maybe a more useful inspiration generator would be a random theme generator, where it picks from a giant list of themes to build a project around. I've seen this be used in many real world scenarios and work and personally, I'd use that.

Not many project idea generators found in projects can understand your skill limit, and theoretically could suggest a 3D or multiplayer game which is out of your skill limit, and even fewer will give you unique and detailed ideas, instead of 1 sentence….

Example:

Let's say I want a VERY specific idea for a platformer game

Almost every idea generator will generate “A platformer game (with some theme)”, without going deep into the idea…

But this “idea generator” would, if necessary, eliminate these complications which usual idea generators found in projects have to go through, and actually explain the game mechanics, who the character is, etc… without going veeeery deep, once you get the idea, you could place your own ideas on top…

No support, I think Scratch has done enough to promote creativity like all of the studios like Scratchtober, Activity Swap, SDS, starter projects/idea page and lots more.

this suggestion isn't very necessary. there are lots of ideas generator if you searched for it as everyone have state it; like featured studios, project, sds. you can also make a topic in the “Project Ideas” subforum if you want someone to offer you some ideas. if youre out of idea you can use the remix button and try to modify it to your preferred thing.

How would the idea generator solve this however?

How do you plan on making it give longer then 1 sentence, in depth ideas?
