Scratch 3 Update 3.29.1
I use Scratch 3 desktop in teaching and often create projects for pupils to debug and develop.
I have installed the latest update which has improved the running of the program but there are a couple of issues that I want to resolve.
When asked if you want to replace the contents of the current project the first four letters of Scratch at the top appear to be in a different characters.
Secondly, I make the projects read only so that the pupils can't accidently change and save the work spoiling the original. Since the update pupils opening projects have had found it difficult to replace the contents of ‘say blocks’ or the numbers in other blocks. The issue can be resolved by minimising the program. or switching to another program then back again. It is an ideal situation, especially with younger users who wish to make changes quickly to the program that is loaded.
Is there another way I can create projects for the Desktop App that allows pupils to tinker and adapt them but does allow them to save over the master project file without re-naming it?
