Is anyone allowed to sell somebody else's Scratch game for Xbox or other platforms?

For me it says that the site is down - perhaps they deleted it.

However, unless they credited it, the answer is no. Any project shared on this site is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0, which allows people to use content, even commercially, but they must credit it.

To the original poster,

That is highly illegal and can get you in hot water for copyright infringement. Do not ever redistribute any Scratch projects for financial gain, especially without consent of the creator and sufficient credit.

Sincerely yours,
Justin J.

actually, all projects shared (and maybe even uploaded) on scratch are shared under CC-BY-SA, therefore, anyone can use them if they give credit. I´d just share a review linking to the original version of the game so that if anyone thought it was so good they´d pay one pound and smth to play it, it´d be free for them

It seems like it got removed from the play store and I couldn't find any results on the Microsoft app store.
I clicked the link and I could see it (probably UK thing)
Hmm … I opened the link and I'm able to see it in Google Play (I'm in EU)
I can't see it and I am American (prob a school computer thing or it's just an American thing)

For me it is still there

oh my god, the creator of the game made other scratchers projects into games without theirr permission too like puzzle box and the other platformers made on scratch! This is illegal! THEY ARE COPYING A BUNCH OF OTHER GAMES AND MAKING THEM INTO APPS WITHOUT PERMISSION TOO!

The studio Super Power Games is selling Appel for £0.89 on the Microsoft Store. Is it allowed?
Here's the answer I was given when I asked around: “Technically yes, they can do this under the CCbySA license we use. They would need to both provide credit, and offer the game under the same CCbySA license (i.e. anyone else can take the game from the Microsoft store too). It’s also not really up to us to enforce any of those rules if they’ve violated them. It would be up to Griffpatch to contact the app store about it.”

Probably also legobouwer9, since they created and “own” the Appel character.
