Waiting Between Remixing and Sharing
Alright. It would be helpful if there is a way to report exact copies, though. That would keep spam/copie levels down even more. What's to stop someone from, say, just making the tiniest of edits and sharing it though?Exactly. That’s why this is a different suggestion than just saying “change something and you can share it.” This puts a wait between remixing and sharing, preferably something like five minutes, as it will encourage tinkering and experimenting with the project. Albeit it won’t stop all exact copies, it will greatly reduce the exact copies.

various remixes can take a short amount of time, specifically under 45 seconds or 5 minutes or whatver the timer is. Also, people have easily copied entire projects via downlaoding and reuploading them, so it doesn't fully eliminate the issue. A youtuber I watch I can't put here due to him using strong language reviewed some scratch minecraft projects and found someone who COMPLETELY reuploaded griffpatch's scratcharia and renamed it to minecraft. Didn't even change the credit at the front. It will not fully destroy the issue, yet it will still improve it very much. It’s like the 60-second rule, like @ScolderCreations said here (great post in few words, by the way):A lot of people are saying that a remix doesn't need to take five minutes, but keep in mind that just because minor remixes are allowed, doesn't mean they are creative. This will encourage creativity, such as how the 60 second rule on forum posts prevents people from rapidly writing small posts, which encourages them to write more detailed posts.
this doesn't stop anyone from playing a game, or listening to music, or drawing, or whatever to wait out the timer.

There is that possibility. But, then, they probably don't know that exact copy's are not allowed, or are just doing it for greed. Just report the project.various remixes can take a short amount of time, specifically under 45 seconds or 5 minutes or whatver the timer is. this doesn't stop anyone from playing a game, or listening to music, or drawing, or whatever to wait out the timer.Yeah, but it’ll reduce the number of exact copy projects, because when you try to share a project before the timer is done, it will tell you there’s a timer and explain why it exists. That way, if there are still exact remixes, we can know for sure they know the rules and are breaking the, anyway.

Support. It would also stop people from accidentally sharing a remix before it's done, and cluttering the original creator's messages.

Wouldn't it be simpler for scratch to check if changes have been made? Because people can just wait a few seconds or minutes before remixing.

Because people can just wait a few seconds or minutes before remixing.Waiting between remixing and sharing isn’t infallible, but it will definitely reduce the number of exact copies of projects. If people just wait it out, then that means they know the rules and are choosing to ignore them. Also, checking to see if changes are made — is not an idea I support. Users can make small, unnoticeable changes very quickly and still share. It will also reduce the number of exact remixes, but I feel like my idea has extra security and is fail-safe.

I think the time should be chosen by the creatorNice point
What if its an “Add your OC doing ____” or an “Ill convert your OC to _____”?
Most users have their OCS backpacked, so its easy for them to make the game.
Otherwise, support!
remixes often get more views than the original, even when they didnt change anything!

People who want to break the rules will always find work arounds to however strict rules you may make.this doesn't stop anyone from playing a game, or listening to music, or drawing, or whatever to wait out the timer.Yeah, but it’ll reduce the number of exact copy projects, because when you try to share a project before the timer is done, it will tell you there’s a timer and explain why it exists. People who want to break the rules will always find work arounds to however strict rules you may make.First off, this will make users aware that you’re not allowed to copy projects. This will additionally reduce the amount of exact copies by a lot, which will really help the Scratch Team as they’re piled with a bunch of work right now.
