my ipad has been using up power very quickly when it's not even on. is this normal? i have the same problem as @Kitten-da-Cat

If the IPad is older, it's probable the battery is dying. This is a normal thing that happens to the battery over time. You may be able to send the Ipad into
a Apple repair center to get it fixed.

Orrrr you can get parts off of iFixit and fix it yourself.

Why? You can fix it yourself so you don't have to send it into Apple where they might make you pay for a new one, or something ridiculous like that.

apple repair centers are useless, they'll just tell you to buy a new ipad. Take it in somewhere local to get it fixed.

Yeah, in fact I'd even more 100% HIGHLY recommend you just replace yourself. It's an “old” iPad it's probably easy as pie.

Considering it's “help for all technology” if it has a motherboard/logic board of ANY sort you can get help here supposedly. That includes everything from computers to toasters to Samsung smart fridges.

This doesn’t exactly fit the topic, but I’m looking at upgrading my laptop’s ssd. My current 500GB ssd has just 20GB left. I’ve been thinking about dual booting Linux, but I can’t practically do that with only 20GB. I see a couple options:

Option 1) Try to delete stuff and cleanup my 500GB drive. This is basically what I’m doing right now to make sure I have enough space to use my laptop.

Option 2) Buy a new 1TB drive. It looks like a 1TB drive would cost about $80 for a 3500 MB/s drive or $130 if I want a 7000 MB/s drive.

(Option 3) Buy a new 2TB drive. It looks like a 2TB drive would cost about $170 for a 3500 MB/s drive and I don’t know if I actually need the space, so I doubt it’s worth the extra money.

Technical details: My laptop has a single M.2 slot which supports PCIe 4 x4 NVM. I believe the current ssd is 7000 MB/s, but I’ve heard the extra speed isn’t that noticeable unless you’re doing large file copying or something similar.
Edit: Actually, it looks like it only supports PCIe 3 x4.

Recommendations? Opinions?

Option 1 is obviously the cheapest, but if you want to expand, I would do option 2, a 2tb drive is going to be extremely over kill for most things on Linux.
For another option you could consider, there are lots of Linux distros that are lightweight (Under 1gb) so you could also try one of those.
