because “follow” does not fit.
maybe rename it something like “like” or “suscribe”
anyone else agree?

I agree I think the best option instead of “like” or “subscribe” would be its original form: “friend”

How about it's renamed to something unique to Scratch? Like a ‘meow’ or a ‘paw’? I dunno.

I don't know what to call it, but I do support.

I support, I always thought Fans (followers)/Fan Of (following) would fit perfectly. (and then “Become Fan of” for follow)
I agree I think the best option instead of “like” or “subscribe” would be its original form: “friend”Friend was changed because it implies a friendship.

People would think they were movie stars or become very big headed.I agree I think the best option instead of “like” or “subscribe” would be its original form: “friend”Friend was changed because it implies a friendship.

I think fan is actually the most accurate.I support, I always thought Fans (followers)/Fan Of (following) would fit perfectly. Think about it: Are you friends with someone you follow? No.
Are you “following” someone you want to see projects from? No.
If you like their projects and want to be told in What's Happening/Front Page about them, would you not say you are a fan?

the “fan” plan has a lot of good things about it, but also a lot of bad thingsI think fan is actually the most accurate.I support, I always thought Fans (followers)/Fan Of (following) would fit perfectly. “my fans love me - you don't have as many fans as me and couldn't if you tried! ha!”

I'm not a fan of anyone that I'm following (no offense…
). I follow because I want to see what they're doing (e.g. loving/faving). I may not be friends with my followers/following, so I think following is most accurate.

No… Not friend. It means like, you are a friend to this user, who is most likely a stranger…

I'm not a fan of anyone that I'm following (no offense…Yeah. Fans go around sticking posters of their ‘hero’ on walls and begging for signatures off them.). I follow because I want to see what they're doing (e.g. loving/faving). I may not be friends with my followers/following, so I think following is most accurate.
Following could just be de-prioritised and changed to a low-key feature where you press a button and it feeds you info about the user's activities. It could be called ‘Be Notified’. However, this may degrade some of the community features and make Scratch feel ‘less connected’?

Eh.. It could use some tweaking. Maybe fellow-Scratcher? (But that doesn't make much sense as everyone else on Scratch is a “fellow Scratcher”…)

No support, I think that it's fine how it is.
I also find it to be pretty accurate in describing what happens if you click the follow button.

would “watching”/“watchers” work? or does it sound too much like stalking?

Maybe “tailer” could fit. It suggests you're being watched without the stalking effect. How about it's renamed to something unique to Scratch? Like a ‘meow’ or a ‘paw’? I dunno.A “Tailr”
I don't know what to call it, but I do support.

what about suscriber?
yeah, i know it was suggested before, but it would fit.
Scratch is more like youtube than facebook, anyway.
