This has already been stated by someone else, but there was already a topic for adding a Ukraine emoji, which can be found here. On that topic, Scratch Team member Paddle2See made a post about how all of the points had been stated already and then closed the topic. If I had to guess, this will turn into 50+ pages of meaningless debate regarding this, and then it will be closed by a Scratch Team member. I think all that needs to be said has been said.

Ukraine v. Russia is a very sensitive topic.
If Scratch were to support Ukraine, most likely what would happen is Russia completely bans Scratch from being used at all in the country.
Plus, there are better ways to show support than a tiny emoji.

Russia isn’t bad.just because cause someone is doing something we consider wrong doesn’t mean the whole country is bad.Russians shouldn’t have to pay for what their government is doing.

They probably shouldn’t add the emoji to avoid to much controversy.

As a Slavic person, I totally agree. They should add the Ukrainian flag themselves, as it is simply just blue on the top half, yellow on the bottom half. If they want the emoji, they have to make it themselves. If they include a Ukraine emoji, then why not include an emoji advocating for women's rights in Arab countries?

Although I think that an emoji is kind of unnecessary when you can just upload a flag of Ukraine, I don't it's very controversial. Almost everybody supports Ukraine.
