What is beta.scratch.mit.edu

I saw a link to it in a project about Om Nom, the link was http://beta.scratch.mit.edu/projects/10119588/
When I go to it it redirects me to the main Scratch site, and when I remove the beta part it just gives a 404 error
What was the site? I didn't see anyone talking about it

I'm guessing it's where the scratch betas are put

My theory is that since the project was shared in 2013, it probably was a site with an early version of Scratch 2

That is correct; it was a preview version of Scratch 2.0.

they use it to test new scratch versions online, back then it was to test 2.0 and later it was used to test 3.0, since there are no plans for scratch 4.0 it's useless

Oh well…
Btw is there a way to view the project that's shared on there or is it gone? (Link in the post)

All projects from the 2.0 beta were transfered to the main site once beta ended, so the project is not gone forever, and still exists although is unshared.
