Police for scratch (Bad words, art and sound theft, ect...)

Lately, I have been seeing an increase of scratchers posting projects about stealing art. Also, I've seen this with music, though that is less common. Well, Scratchers are QUITTING because of this theft. Also, I've noticed bad words and other stuff going on scratch that the other scratchers do not need to see
(I found one that contained the ‘s’ word and reported it). Well, I have 3 solutions, but If the first one is to difficult, we can use the 3rd one for both issues, The first one is Lock. Owners can lock their art and sound and put it in peoples back pack when needed. The scratcher receiving would get a message saying the received the music or art, and they would have to give credit, otherwise, the third part would come into effect. The second one is What I call, auto-credit. When in your backpack, if its someone else's work, the credits go in a box near the credits that can NOT be opened by Anyone What so ever. My final solution is scratch police. I've posted this on the old scratch suggestions, but because I'm not famous, no body really looked at it. Pretty much these are mature people who volunteer to in their free time, search up bad words and things and flag them as inappropriate. If there part of the police, It gets sent to the scratch team as top priority.

Please fellow scratchers and scratch team, give this some thought.

This isn't a bad idea. Somebody did use a bad word on one of my projects. I think we should go with this idea. I don't like bad words or any sort of mean thing. This is a great idea!

1. Sorry, no. The motto of Scratch is Imagine, Program, Share, so a share-preventing lock goes against that. If you want to show your art without it being reused, don't share it on Scratch.

2. I'll let someone more experienced take a look at this one.

3. Already implemented! When you report a comment, project, or forum post, a Scratch Team Member or Community Moderator is alerted and will check out the reported thing to see if it's okay.

+1

I like #2 a lot, though. I'd like to see that.

Perhaps one made up of Scratchers… You can make a studio, and we basically do what we should do; report rude comments, etc. But the difference would be this would be spreading the word to those who don't already.

I think the problem with art theft is that nobody reports them with enough detail. Simply saying ‘This person stole my art’ when something was changed just makes the ST member viewing it think it's somebody who doesn't understand remixing, while reporting it and saying ‘This person used my art, and when I asked them to give me credit, they refused’ may be more effective.

In all, I think that this could be more of used to educate Scratchers how to flag/report effectively.

Therefore, I support.

About #3… hi. I'm part of the “Scratch Police”, more commonly known as community moderators.
As said before, #1 is a no-no. All projects shared to the Scratch Website are put under a creative commons license. In a nutshell, it means anyone can use and/or modify your work, as long as they give credit.
#2 would be cool.

Well, if you don't want your artwork to be copied, you can always put a logo of some sort on your artwork so that people know it's yours and not whoever's copied it.

Uh… Do you think it's fun to play a game with big watermarks across the entire game?

Well, you could put a logo at the beginning of a game, like I did in this project.

Still, they can steal the artwork themselves as the logo would go away…

What if you put a copy of the logo on top of the other one?

That's what I'm saying. A game wouldn't be enjoyable with your logo on every single costume.

look people, there will always be trolls, people who don't have anything better to do in their life other than sabotage, anoy, or any other deteriorating activity. You must take for granted their existance. As for swearing, we could just go for the good old system of replacing those words with others, and the ability to flag alternatives of the words, such as using numbers instead of letters…
as for hate comments, we can only flag them, but then they can flag good comments….
the only way out is better moderating system, but I understand that scratch team is doing a good job already, and dosen't need extra work…
sigh, this reminds me of school, only allowed to tell on others. IRL, you punch them in the face, and they leave you alone. Don't do that kids, rarely necesary.
